Fayetteville police seek man in New Year's shooting

Detectives have obtained warrants charging Brolyn Shaquan Henry, 29, of the 1120 block of S. Pine Street, with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and two counts of shooting into an occupies vehicle in connection to the incident.

Fayetteville police seek man in New Year’s shooting
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are seeking public assistance in locating a man who they said was responsible for a New Year’s Day shooting.

Police said that officers responded to a report of a shooting victim in the emergency room of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at 3:15 a.m. on Jan. 1. Investigators said that Deonta Hoking, 28, of the 1900 block of Alder Road came into the hospital with gunshot wounds to his left leg and right foot.

Police said that the shooting occurred while Hoking and his sister were driving along Bragg Boulevard and Stamper Road and stemmed from a disturbance that occurred at 3:00 a.m. in the parking lot of a BP gas station at the corner of Bragg Boulevard and Filter Plant Drive.

Detectives have obtained warrants charging Brolyn Shaquan Henry, 29, of the 1120 block of S. Pine Street, with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and two counts of shooting into an occupies vehicle in connection to the incident.

Henry is also wanted in Robeson County on unspecified unrelated charges.

Authorities said they believe he may be driving a white 2006 BMW 650I with North Carolina license plate DEF 9307.
