A Kangaroo on Bragg Boulevard, a Payless Shoes store on Ramsey Street and a Scotchman gas station on Morganton Road were robbed Wednesday.

The robber is described as a black man in his late 30s to 50s, 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall, with graying hair. He has worn various colors of polo shirts and button-down shirts, shorts, sandals or loafers and a baseball cap during the robberies and had a gold watch on his left wrist.

Witnesses said the robber left the crime scenes in a white Ford Expedition or Explorer.
