Posted June 22, 2011

— Police on Wednesday asked for the public's help to identify a man wanted in a Fayetteville bank robbery last week.

A Wachovia branch at 4924 Morganton Road was robbed June 14, and the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Security videos show the robber was wearing a white shirt with black lettering across the back, and witnesses described the shirt as a work shirt or a chef's shirt.

Anyone who can identify the man or who has information about the robbery is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

Why can't the bank's security system produce better quality pictures?

In the age of digital cameras, why are the banks not installing high quality cameras or recording devices? This photo is so blurry that it’s a wonder if anyone could recognize it.
Just for once I would like to know that all the extra fee’s charged are going to upgraded cameras.
