Fayetteville police secretary faces DWI charge

A secretary at the Fayetteville Police Department is on administrative leave without pay after being arrested over the weekend on a drunken-driving charge.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A secretary at the Fayetteville Police Department is on administrative leave without pay after being arrested over the weekend on a drunken-driving charge.

Claudine Parisi, was charged with driving while impaired and possession of an open container of alcohol after a crash early Saturday evening, the police department said in a news release Monday afternoon.

She has worked for the police department since 1990. She is on leave pending the outcome of an internal police investigation.

Parisi was also charged in a DWI crash in March after she allegedly drove the wrong way on Interstate 95 and caused a wreck near Fayetteville.
