Fayetteville police searching for motel armed robbery suspect

Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a robbery suspect that held up a motel in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect that held up a motel in Fayetteville.

Police received a call around 10:30 p.m. on June 25 in reference to a armed robbery at the Motel 6 on 2076 Cedar Creek Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, approached the cash register with a gun and demanded money from the register, police said.

The suspect received cash from the register and fled on foot. He was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, red sweat pants with a bandana covering his nose and mouth, and he was also wearing latex-style gloves.
