Fayetteville police search for clues in fatal shooting

Fayetteville police are investigating the death of a man who was shot and left in a roadway Sunday night.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating the death of a man who was shot and left in a roadway Sunday night.

Police said officers went to the intersection of Lamon and Ramsey streets and found the man at about 8 p.m. They believe he was removed from a vehicle and left in the road. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators think the man, whose name was not immediately released, was shot somewhere else and taken to Lamon Street.
