— Police are looking for vandals armed with BB guns. Over the weekend, at least 20 incidents of vandalism were reported to the Fayetteville Police Department.

The most reports came from the Cliffdale Forest subdivision in the 8200 block of Cliffdale Road.

Police said they have no suspects.

Fayetteville residents are urged to park cars in a garage if possible. Residents can also make sure the outside of their homes are well lit to deter vandals, police said.

I hope everyone gets all worked up and wants these criminals to pay back their victims...but the fact is IF they are juveniles, then NC says they only have to pay a max of $500.00 and they are even with everyone. Juvs in NC can destroy anything and pay $500.00 and they are out clean. And whats worse is some politicians are pushing to raise the juv age from 16 to 18.

This is so typical of WRAL and all news outlets. I'm from Fayetteville and we had our annual Dogwood Festival this past weekend that attracted over 100,000 people over the course of three days. Our new festival park was opened with concerts all weeekend. You hear nothing of this but a couple of punks with BB guns shoot out some car windows and it makes headlines. I don't get it.

I hope they catch these brats.. They should be made to work off the damage they caused..Why should I the general public pay for someone else acts.. The deductiable for insurance is out of the pocket of the victim for someone's stupid actions.. I never did this sort of thing when I was a kid.. My pop would of beet me within a inch of my life, and then made me appolize and pay for the damages...

it sure does take a tough kid to vandalize someone else's property.....the reality, I think it takes a stupid kid to do that, maybe they can't think of a real way to have fun. certainly there are IQ issues here!

I bet these kids think they're real cool now that they have made the news. They had better be careful though, shooting people or their stuff with a BB gun can get you killed if someone shoots back. Let's hope this doesn't happen and that these kids might mature to regret their childishness.

What cowardly little brats. I had a vehicle vandalized in such a manor. Insurance will cover the damage under comprehensive. So if you don't have full coverage, ie with collision, the damage will still be covered.
