Fayetteville police release photos of man wanted in bank robbery

Fayetteville police on Monday released surveillance photos of a man who authorities say robbed a bank in the 3600 block of Ramsey Street.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Monday released surveillance photos of a man who authorities say robbed a bank in the 3600 block of Ramsey Street.

According to investigators, a man dressed in a black coat, black hat, white gloves, white sunglasses and burgundy pants entered a First Citizens Bank at about 11 a.m. and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, and the man fled the bank on foot, officials said.

Authorities believe the same man robbed a First Citizens Bank at 40 Page Drive in Pinehurst just before 4 p.m. Monday.
