Fayetteville police open homicide investigation

Fayetteville police on Sunday labeled the death of a shooting victim as a homicide.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Sunday said the death of a shooting victim was a homicide.

Police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds at 362 Summer Hill Road around 10:15 p.m. Friday.

The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. His identity has not been released.

Police have not disclosed any more details about the shooting or investigation.
