FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Investigators are looking for the driver of a car that hit and injured a Fayetteville police officer late Monday night while he was conducting a traffic stop.

Police said Officer Andrew Dickinson had stopped a vehicle for speeding on Bragg Boulevard near Greenland Drive around 10:30 p.m. when a dark four-door sedan struck him.

The car, according to police, is missing a mirror from the driver's side as a result of the collision.

Dickinson, who has been with the Fayetteville Police Department since 2012, was treated at a local hospital and released.

Anyone with information about the hit and run or the car that hit Dickinson should call 911 or Fayetteville Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
