FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An 18-year-old man shot his 9-year-old sister and stepfather Wednesday evening along the 2900 block of Ramsey Street, Fayetteville police said.

Investigators said that Joshua Holt shot James Hobbs, 45, multiple times at his home during a domestic incident. The girl, who lives at the house, was also injured.

Holt was arrested and charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, police said. He was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond.

Paramedics transported both victims to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Hobbs and the girl were both listed in fair condition Thursday.
