FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — City police were investigating a “suspicious death” early Monday.
Fire medics found a black man lying in a parking lot at 223 Eastern Blvd. around 12:30 a.m.
They tried to revive the man, whose name was not released. They later pronounced the man dead of an apparent gunshot wound the head.
Investigators said they are treating the shooting as a homicide. Police did not release any other details.
