Fayetteville police ID women sought in robberies

Police on Friday identified three women believed to be involved in three robberies in Cumberland County, including one where a security guard was assaulted.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Friday identified three women believed to be involved in three robberies in Cumberland County, including one where a security guard was assaulted.

Warrants have been issued for Candice Nicole McCall, 27, of 115 Oak Tree Drive, Mytaza McPhaul, 18, of 141 Utah Drive, and Shanika Andrews, 28, of 920 Johnson St., all of Raeford. The warrants are on the charges of misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor larceny in connection with an April 27 robbery at The Hobby Lobby, at 1748 Skibo Road.

A security guard was assaulted when he confronted three women who were taking items from the store, police said.

The women also are wanted for questioning in thefts at the City Trends store in Spring Lake and Priscilla’s in Fayetteville, police said.
