Fayetteville police ID woman who went missing in Cape Fear River

— Fayetteville police have identified a 44-year-old woman who they believe was swept away by a current in the Cape Fear River Friday morning. 

Witnesses told police the woman, Sheila Elizabeth Hathcock, entered the river at the Person Street Bridge around 8:45 a.m. Friday before being swept away by the current. 

The Fayetteville Police Department's search and rescue team searched the river Friday and Saturday, but were unable to locate Hathcock's body. 

No other details were released.

    I can't say "fishy"...I am almost 50 and just got me a track phone, via the request of my children and wife, for just such reasons. Swimming this time of year, yes, that is either fishy or crazy.

    And the witness did not have a phone to call 911 ? something fishey here and it is not only the fish swiming in that cold water of the Cape fear
