Fayetteville police: Five injured in three overnight shootings

Officers responding to the parking lot of a McDonald's in the 5000 block of Santa Fe Drive about 3:30 a.m. discovered that Joshua Chunn, 35, had been shot. According to investigators, Chunn and an acquaintance left a nightclub in the 6200 block of Yadkin Road following an altercation inside the club. 

After Chunn dropped off his acquaintance, a car pulled out of the parking lot of the club and began following him, police said. Chunn stopped his car and was confronted by people in the other car when he was shot multiple times. He was take to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition Saturday. 

An hour later, officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 7600 block of Sable Drive. Investigators said Keondre Thomas, 17, and Kristen Wood, 21, were leaving a party at the home when they were shot outside by someone who had arrived in a white Dodge Charger. 

According to police, occupants inside the Charger were yelling at people who were leaving the party prior to the shooting. Thomas and Wood were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

At 5:50 a.m., detectives who were at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center investigating the earlier shootings learned that two more people had come to the hospital with gunshot wounds. 

According to police, Antonias Milton, 27, and Sedale Council, 23, were shot by an unidentified man at a home in the 400 block of Squirrel Street. Milton and Council were listed in stable condition Saturday morning. 

Investigators said they don't think the shootings are connected, but all three happened within about 6 miles of each another.
