FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police say a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a 43-year-old man wanted on kidnapping, robbery and attempted rape charges.

Revyn Tremaine Raymind was arrested Monday in the Wilmington area and is being held in the New Hanover county jail on a $500,000 secured bond.

Raymind is charged with first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted first-degree rape and communicating threats in connection with an incident reported last week.

Authorities said a victim went to a residence in the 1600 block of Rim Road to meet a friend at the friend's house. When the victim arrived, Raymind, who was unknown to the person, was also in the house.

Overnight, Raymind woke the victim up when he produced a razor blade and threatened her with it, police said. Raymind then stole the victim's personal possessions, made her move somewhere else in the residence where he tried to rape her.

Raymind fled in the victim's vehicle, police said.
