"At least they are here on GOLO. Cops can never be in the wrong. If you even ATTEMPT to criticize, you are just "ungrateful"."---

Criticize when it's appropriate instead of every waking moment and you won't get the cops coming out of the woodwork. The problem is that so many people are too ignorant to understand that. Apparently, you fall into that category.

Apparently there is a "blood-thisty" croud out there. Unless there is blood spilled, they don't want to hear about it.

People think that a cross walk provides you with some kinda of protection. If a driver is not paying attention, cross walk means nothing. Just ask anyone who works downtown and has to cross several intersections to get to work. The way people drive, we should be hearing this happen all the time.

In this area, people are all over the streets. Pedestrians will walk right out in front of you and expect you to stop when they are jay walking. I drive through this area daily and I am very surprised that more people have not been hit. I don't know the whole story, but I know what I have experienced and I have come pretty close to taking out a few people that have just darted out in front of me.

Not the cops fault. They are above reproach...

    WHY? WHY? WHY?!

to "Lickad & itom68" why the sarcastic comments about the cop/officer? these are men and women that are there to protect us.. they aren't politicians..

I do agree with the statement.. "Why is this news"

  • working for deadbeats Sep 1, 2010

I'll bet the pedestrian didn't use a cross walk or any caution while crossing the skreet..

  • Lickad Sep 1, 2010

We know the officer will come out of this clean.

We all know that there are pedestrians that don't obey the laws set for them AND we all know that there are drivers that don't obey the laws in regards to yielding to pedestrians.

We don't know ANYTHING for this so we can not judge either party.

But, I do agree with meBNme about "why is this news" if there was no property damage or injuries....

  • itom68 Sep 1, 2010

well either way we know by experience it wont be the cops fault

  • meBNme Sep 1, 2010

If there were no injuries or damage, why is this news?

Sounds more like "police car bumps pedestrian, left no boo boo."
but to say "Fayetteville officer hits pedestrian" makes it sound like sombody wound up in the hospital due to some negligent cop.
