Fayetteville mayor will not seek re-election

— Fayetteville Mayor Tony Chavonne will not seek a fifth term.

Chavonne said Tuesday that he will step down when his term ends in November. 

The 58-year-old Democrat was first elected to the mayor's office in 2005.
