Hope Mills man surrenders on rape charge

Rick Derrell McIntyre Jr., 18, of the 800 block of Eagle Landing Drive was charged with second-degree forcible rape and second-degree forcible sex offense.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Hope Mills man wanted on a rape charge surrendered to police on Monday.

Rick Derrell McIntyre Jr., 18, of the 800 block of Eagle Landing Drive was charged with second-degree forcible rape and second-degree forcible sex offense.

Police said a juvenile victim accused McIntyre, of forcing her into a sex act Friday at a home on Tareyton Road.
The victim did not have any serious physical injuries, police said.

McIntyre was being held at he Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
