FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man wanted in connection with an August homicide and a September shooting was arrested Wednesday, according to Fayetteville police.

Travis Edward Jefferson, 22, of the 800 block of Orange Street was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of stolen goods, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

The first-degree murder charge stems from an Aug. 1 shooting on Boxwood Lane in which Victor Cirello, 63, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest inside the office of a mobile home park.

The remaining charges are the result of a Sept. 25 robbery and shooting at Brown’s Garage at 433 Hillsboro Street. One person was injured when three men walked into the garage and robbed the eight employees inside of their valuables, police said.

Quintien Terrell Swann, 17, of the 900 block of Gillis Street, was previously charged with first-degree murder in connection with Cirello’s

Jefferson was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.

Police continue to search for the other two men involved in the shooting at Brown’s Garage. Anybody with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-703-5715 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
