Fayetteville man surrenders to police in February rape
Edward Lee Alexander, 46, of the 500 block of Anson Drive was charged with second-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man surrendered to police Tuesday in connection with a sexual assault that occurred earlier this year.
Edward Lee Alexander, 46, of the 500 block of Anson Drive was charged with second-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping.
The charges stem from a Feb. 4 incident in the area of Pamalee Drive and Murchison Road. Authorities said the 24-year-old victim in the incident was an acquaintance of Alexander.
Alexander was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under $75,000 secured bond.
