FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man will spend almost 15 years in prison for use and possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney George E.B. Holding said Wednesday.

Laurence David Clifton, 43, pleaded guilty in September after a search of his computer revealed images and videos of pre-pubescent children engaging in sado-masochistic conduct.

Judge Louise W. Flanagan ordered that Clifton pay $20,000 restitution and submit to a lifetime of supervision after his prison term.

Clifton was identified in a nationwide undercover operation searching peer-to-peer networks for child pornography, part of the Project Safe Childhood initiative.
