FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are searching for a missing 26-year-old woman whose 35-year-old boyfriend was found shot to death two days ago. The woman "may be in danger," police said Thursday.

Denika Lashalle Jones lived with Tommy Loren Webb at 1722 Gardenia Ave., where he was found dead Tuesday afternoon. The next day, someone deliberately set fire to a couch inside the house, police said. It's unclear if the fire is related to Webb's death.

Jones has not been seen since her boyfriend was found dead. When asked if she is a suspect, police would only say that the case is in the early stage of the investigation and that they want to find her and make sure she is OK.

Jones is 5-foot-4, 155 pounds, with short, black hair, brown eyes and a mole on her left cheek.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call police at 910-433-1421 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
