Fayetteville man held for mental evaluation

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville was taken into custody Thursday night after neighbors reported him roaming the area with a BB gun and a knife, police said.
Earl Sheldon Sorenson, 40, is registered sex offender with a history of mental illness, family members said.
He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for evaluation.
