Fayetteville man charged with murder in father-in-law's death

Fayetteville, N.C. — A man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father-in-law, officials with the Fayetteville Police Department said Monday.
Police were investigating a shooting that killed Mark Lewis, 54, near the 5000 block of Cooper Street in Fayetteville on Sunday. Lewis was shot in the chest, police said.
Officials arrested 30-year-old David Adam Wildhagen at the scene shortly after the shooting. Wildhagen was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.
