Fayetteville man charged in fatal shooting

A Fayetteville man has been charged in a Friday morning shooting death, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man has been charged in a Friday morning shooting death, police said.

Emmanuel Thomas Lindsey, 37, of the 100 block of Kensington Circle, was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He remains in the Cumberland County jail without bond.

Alvis Tina Davis, 54, was shot in the 500 block of Moore Street and died at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, police said.

No details about a possible motive or what evidence links Lindsey to the crime were released.
