Fayetteville man arrested on gun, marijuana charges

Fayetteville police arrested an 18-year-old Tuesday after they found an airsoft pistol, a .32-caliber handgun and marijuana in his car, authorities said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police arrested an 18-year-old Tuesday after they found an airsoft pistol, a .32-caliber handgun and marijuana in his car, authorities said.

An officer stopped a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro around 6 p.m. at Tokay Park on Hamilton Street and noticed what appeared to be a gun in the back seat, according to police.

The officer arrested the driver, Oshay Delon Rayshaun Jackson, of the 6200 block of Whitehall Drive, and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possession of marijuana, both of which are misdemeanors.

He was being held under a $5,000 secured bond. No other information was released.
