FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities have arrested a man accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl and forcing her into prostitution.

A tip from a person who saw Kadeem Kirk's mug shot in the local news led police to arrest him at his grandmother's house in Fayetteville Monday morning, said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Kirk, 20, of 5719 Meharry Drive, was given a $1.9 million bond on 23 felony charges, including second-degree kidnapping, facilitating the prostitution of a minor and conspiracy to prostitute a minor.

Investigators said Kirk took the teen from her home to a local motel, forced her to have sex with five men and gave her money and drugs.

In January, authorities charged Kirk in connection with the case of a 14-year-old girl who had run away.
