Fayetteville man arrested on charges of prostituting teen

Posted May 7, 2012

— Cumberland County authorities have arrested a man accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl and forcing her into prostitution.

A tip from a person who saw Kadeem Kirk's mug shot in the local news led police to arrest him at his grandmother's house in Fayetteville Monday morning, said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Kirk, 20, of 5719 Meharry Drive, was given a $1.9 million bond on 23 felony charges, including second-degree kidnapping, facilitating the prostitution of a minor and conspiracy to prostitute a minor.

Investigators said Kirk took the teen from her home to a local motel, forced her to have sex with five men and gave her money and drugs.

In January, authorities charged Kirk in connection with the case of a 14-year-old girl who had run away.

Just wondering why the 13 year old open her door to her home and allow this man in? May the courts send him to prison for a long time. Mean while, the courts should get this girls some counseling to help her. Where was her parents?

Yawn..stretch...yawn...well, maybe his lawyer can get the charges dismissed because maybe he was abused by his father and maybe mentally incompetent? Community service maybe for a couple of months. Some volunteer rehab couple of nights a month unless there's a ball game on...

A 20 yr old soliciting a 14 yr old. Does the future have any hope with youth like this guy. I say turn him over to that little girls dad. That would be justice. Or turn him loose again as they did the first time and see what happens.
