— Cumberland County authorities said Thursday that investigators have filed new charges against a Fayetteville man who was jailed last year on charges that he kidnapped a 13-year-old girl and sold her into sexual servitude.

Kadeem Kirk, 22, of 5719 Meharry Drive, was initially charged with 23 felonies, including second-degree kidnapping, facilitating the prostitution of a minor and conspiracy to prostitute a minor.

Now, investigators have charged him with five counts of statutory rape and one count of second-degree kidnapping in connection with alleged crimes involving a second 14-year-old girl.

Kirk remains in the Cumberland County jail under a bond that has been increased to $2.5 million.

I cant believe the young adults now adays - years ago it was so much better - none of this stuff in the news - they need to think of their futures and what they can contribute to society instead of going down the wrong path in life and not getting anywhere- it is a disgrace to see all this in the news

Why is it that WRAL and everyone else will give air time and so much attention to other ridiculous stories, like someone shooting themselves in the hand, or a high speed chase, but this has not been on the news? A young girl was SOLD! This is outrageous and sickening! Shame on you WRAL for not making this a top story!
