Fayetteville man accused of robbing two Internet cafes

Fayetteville police have charged a man in connection with two Internet cafe robberies.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police have charged a man in connection with two Internet cafe robberies.

Darrell Alan Thompson, 21, of 2421 Ireland Drive, was charged Tuesday with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping. The charges stem from an Aug. 1 robbery at the Lucky Charms Internet cafe at 1111 Ireland Drive.

Thompson was already facing charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault on a female, two counts of safe-cracking and second-degree trespassing in connection with an Aug. 4 robbery at the Lucky Charms Internet cafe in Hope Mills.

Thompson was being held in the Cumberland County jail under a $125,000 secured bond for the Hope Mills robbery. He has a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon for the Fayetteville charges.
