Fayetteville man accused of killing his brother

A Fayetteville man is accused of fatally stabbing his brother after they got into a fight Monday evening in the home they shared.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man is accused of fatally stabbing his brother after they got into a fight Monday evening in the home they shared.

Fayetteville police charged Claude Edward Smith, 52, with second-degree murder in the death of Todd Eugene Smith, 49.

Officers responded to the home at 327 Rhew St. about 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, there was some kind of altercation prior to the stabbing. 

Claude Edward Smith was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.
