— Fayetteville police arrested a man Wednesday for allegedly robbing the same Exxon gas station four times in two months.

Officers responded to a robbery at the Exxon station at 3408 Murchison Road Tuesday. Police said they spotted the suspect, Billy Joe Scott, 23, and chased him to his trailer.

Scott, of 932 Country Club Drive in Fayetteville, was charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon for incidents occurring Nov. 29, Dec. 13, Dec. 18, and Jan. 4. In each case, police said, Scott used a handgun to rob the Exxon station.

Police said Scott's gloves and handgun were found near his home, and the clothes he wore during the robbery were found inside.

He was being held Wednesday in the Cumberland County Jail on a $40,000 bond.

Four ARMED robberies in five weeks and all he gets is a 40K bond? WHY was this person back on the streets after the third time and where is he getting these weapons? At what point in the judicial system do we have to stop someone from walking the streets over and over again?

I'll just run home, the police can't see me running into my trailer; they only know my name.
