FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Residents of the Tanglewood South community can again use tap water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and washing hands.

An order to boil water had been in effect since Nov. 14, when tests revealed possible coliform bacteria in the water.

A follow-up test by Carolina Water Service and the State Division of Environmental Health confirmed the bacteria were not present. The order was lifted Wednesday.
