Fayetteville insurance agent arrested for embezzlement

— A Fayetteville insurance agent was arrested Tuesday on charges he pocketed money from policyholders, the state insurance commissioner said Wednesday.

Timothy Michael Moore, 40, of 3429 Thorndike Drive, is accused of stealing more than $5,800 in premium payments while he was a licensed insurance agent and owner of TM Moore Insurance Agency DBA Affinity Financial Group in Fayetteville.

Moore was out on $500 bond Wednesday.
