Fayetteville Going Victorian for Holiday Happening

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Downtown Fayetteville was slated to take a turn back in time Friday afternoon and evening with a Victorian Christmas organized by the Arts Council.

From 1 p.m. until 9 p.m., the council arranged for carolers, entertainers and characters from Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" to roam the streets. They will be wearing Victorian costumes, and there will be creative window displays and an opportunity for families to take Victorian carriage ride.

The event was arranged as part of the council’s "Dickens Holiday" put on by the Arts Council.
