Fayetteville, N.C. — Police were searching for a man who robbed a Fayetteville bank Friday afternoon.

A masked man brandishing a handgun walked into the BB&T branch at 7790 Good Middling Road shortly before 3 p.m., demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The robber was seen leaving the area in a black, older-model, four-door sedan with tinted windows and no license plate, police said, adding that the vehicle is described as looking like an older Dodge Stratus.

The robber was described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and a short, military-style haircut. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.

I use to work at a bank. This was always my biggest fear. Yes we were trained in what to do, but this is too close. The branch I worked at was robbed 3 times. Thanking God I was already gone.

the only thing i have a problem with is him having a gun otherwise whats the difference banks rob their customers everyday taking their money so whats the difference in banks stealing money and somebody robbing a bank robbing is robbing no matter legal or illegal robbing is robbing in gods eyes!
