Authorities said Pamela Morrison confronted Kristina Medina inside the Barbeque Hut at about 1:20 p.m. and began assaulting her.

Morrison left the area and Medina dialed 911 to report the assault. Officers determined that Morrison is employed as a 911 operator with the Communications Division for the City of Fayetteville.

Morrison, 47, has been employed with the Fayetteville 911 Communications Division since December 1997. She has been placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is investigated.

She was charged with simple assault.
