— Authorities issued a Silver Alert early Tuesday for Kristin Elizabeth Cannon, 20, of Fayetteville.

She is described as a white woman, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 135 pounds with brown and black hair and green eyes.

Fayetteville police did not have a description of the clothing she was wearing when last seen Monday at her home near Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, but they did say she was probably wearing a baseball hat.

Cannon could be headed to Parkton Tobermory Road in Parkton.

Anyone with information about Cannon is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1885.

Fox 8 site indicates she has been located and is back with her family.

Something is missing here. And I don't mean to "be cute". But, I don't get this.
There just isn't very much here to go on. I do hope she is OK.

    Yes, very true.

It is the first of four criteria that must be met to qualify for Silver Alert.

If I had a missing loved one...I would use whatever resources necessary to find him/her. It wouldn't matter to me whether or not the person qualified perfectly for a particular alert. The point is she's missing and needs to be found. It's someone else's job to worry about her qualifications...it's our job to help find her.

Silver Alerts are for people who have some sort of cognitive issue.

The person must be suffering from some form of cognitive impairment to qualify for a Silver Alert.

Google a silver alert, you genius, and realize why it has nothing to do with whether you're an adult or not. You don't need to be provided justification for why something qualifies to be a silver alert in order to keep an eye out for a missing person. This isn't the time to be a smart aleck when someone needs help finding a lost family member.
