FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County deputies arrested a father and son Wednesday for allegedly trafficking drugs on Interstate 95.

Marcos Cesar Nunez-Olaverria, 80, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jose Orlando Nunez-Polanco, 41, of Philadelphia, were taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center where each was held on $1.5 million secured bond. They are charged with felony trafficking.

Deputies stopped the men on a traffic violation. In searching their vehicle, deputies found heroin and cocaine with inside luggage in the back of the car. Deputies estimated the drugs were worth more than $1 million if sold on the street.
