Raleigh, N.C. — The search for suspects continued Friday in the shooting investigation of two men who were found dead inside a vehicle in a Glenwood Avenue parking lot in Raleigh.
Officers were called to the parking lot of a Panera Bread, at 6201 Glenwood Ave., at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to do a welfare check. When officers arrived, they found Pedro Joel Reyes Dias, 24, of Raleigh, and Allan Uriel Rodriguez, 25, of Wendell, dead.
The men, who were friends, were both well-known at an Atlantic Springs Road barber shop.
Allan Rodriguez's father, Allen Rodriguez, said he planned to go into business with his son, who graduated from Leesville Road High School, and described him as a soccer and car lover.
"It's a pretty rough day for me because I lost pretty much a part of my life," Rodriguez said.
He said he will miss doing everyday things with his son, including eating meals together.
"When we were eating together, my son enjoyed spending time with the family," Rodriguez said.
Two men were seen being questioned at a nearby Days Inn Thursday afternoon, but no arrests have been made.
"My son may not be with me anymore, but I am going to pray to God that he got a better place for him," Rodriguez said.
Anyone with information about the deaths is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.
