RALEIGH, N.C. — Father and Son, an antique store known for its sprawling collection of everything from vintage clothing to furniture, is officially opening in its new home in downtown Raleigh.

The store held a soft opening over the weekend at 302 S. West St. The shop attracts people from around the world. Travel guides refer to it as a must visit for the City of Oaks.

Father and Son closed late last year in its original location on West Hargett Street.

Kiymo Ownbey, the store owner, said the store was forced to find a new home after the building's owner decided to sell the property.

"It makes me sad to think that everything old, or unique, has to be sort of pushed out due to rising costs," Ownbey told WRAL News at the time.
