Durham police closed Clayton Road between Glenrose and Freeman roads for about four hours Saturday morning after a fatal single-vehicle wreck.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police closed Clayton Road between Glenrose and Freeman roads for about four hours Saturday morning after a fatal single-vehicle wreck.
The wreck happened around 4:45 a.m. when the vehicle lost control, ran off the road and hit a tree. The driver, whose name was not released, died at the scene, police said.
No other cars were involved, but officials closed the section of the road near Southern Durham High School around 5 a.m. to investigate the wreck.
