Dan Zanes, the Grammy-winning musician and one of the country's top family entertainers, returns to the Triangle this weekend for an outdoor concert at the N.C. Museum of Art.

Zanes and Friends will perform at 6 p.m., Saturday. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. It's part of the museum's outdoor summer concert series.

Zanes, a former member of the 1980s rock band The Del Fuegos, is known for his folksy, fun take on classic American songs and original tunes that pull in the sounds and rhythms of American and world music. We're fans of his "House Party" album at my house. In 2007, he won a Grammy award for Best Musical Album for Children.

Zanes has stopped in the Triangle several times in the past. Tickets for Saturday's show are $20 ($15 for members) and $10 for kids ages 3 to 12. Kids 2 and under are admitted for free.
