Family-Friendly Eats: Dos Taquitos Xoco

Posted March 18, 2013

Dos Taquitos, the restaurant on Creedmoor Road in north Raleigh, has been a long-time favorite for families.

We love the food - a mix of Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites. And while the inside of the restaurant is dark, the decor is eclectic - so many things for little ones to look at as they wait for their food, including a model train overhead.

The locally owned restaurant just opened another location - Dos Taquitos Xoco - in downtown Raleigh's Glenwood South district a couple of weeks ago. Kids menu items - such as quesadillas, tacos or burritos with beans and rice - are $4.95.

But here's what really makes it stand out: The salsa train! If you sit inside in the booths a small model train will bring your chips and salsa to you. My kids loved it!

Dos Taquitos Xoco is at 410 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh.
