Family escapes Moore County fire

A family made it out safely when their Cameron home caught on fire early Friday, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office.

CAMERON, N.C. — A family made it out safely when their Cameron home caught on fire early Friday, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said that a fire started in a home on Chestnut Street around 3:30 a.m.

The home and two vehicles in the driveway were damaged.

There was no word on the cause of the fire.
