Family Dollar store robbed in Durham

— Durham police are asking the public for help to solve an armed robbery that happened last week at a Family Dollar store.

Investigators say it happened around 3:20 p.m. Feb. 22 at the store at 5178 Wake Forest Highway.

The robber was described as a white man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and in his early- to mid-20s with shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans.

    Why does it take a week to ask the public for help? By now, I would think that folks would have long forgotten anything that might have been helpful.
