Families of slain Fayetteville men seek leads in shooting

Ten days after two men were killed in a Fayetteville shootout, family members of the men pleaded Thursday for witnesses to come forward and help authorities solve the case.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Ten days after two men were killed in a Fayetteville shootout, family members of the men pleaded Thursday for witnesses to come forward and help authorities solve the case.

Rodriguez Odell Harris, 23, and Terrell Boykin, 19,, both of Fayetteville, died after gunfire erupted in a home at 3921 Donna St.on May 8.

Cumberland County investigators have interviewed several persons of interest in the case but still have no suspects or motive.

"He didn't deserve what happened to him. He was a good person, and whoever did this needs to be brought to justice," said Leianna Taylor, Boykin's girlfriend, who gave birth to the couple's daughter, Honesty, three days after he was killed.
