One arrested, one sought in Raleigh double homicide

"I'm not going to see my son no more," said Juana Reyes. "He took my baby, but I hope to see my son in heaven."

Pedro Joel Reyes Dias, 24, of Raleigh, and Allan Uriel Rodriguez, 25, of Wendell, were found dead in a car near a Panera Bread on Glenwood Avenue.

Reyes said the pain of losing her only son is unbearable. He was training to be a mechanic and was an aspiring musician.

Denzel Dancy, 18, is wanted by police on two counts of murder in connection with the double homicide.

Daekwon Javon Ragland, 20, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with two counts of murder.

"I don't think my son was dealing with people like this," Reyes said. "He's scared of violence, and I teach him to respect everybody."

Rodriguez's father, Allan Rodriguez, is also at a loss as to how his son and Reyes would have had anything to do with Dancy, who has a criminal record and possible gang affiliations.

"When I look to the window and I don't see my son, I start crying," Rodriguez said. "I hope the police are going to arrest the person who did the crime, and he is going to have to pay for it."

While both parents are praying for justice, they are also offering their forgiveness to whoever is ultimately held responsible.

"I forgive him. In the name of Jesus, I forgive him," Reyes said.

"He killed my son. It is really painful for me, but I'll let God take care of the rest," Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez's funeral will be held this weekend. Diaz has already been buried.

Anyone who has information about Dancy's wherabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP. Police warned that Dancy should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.
