Falls police ID man killed in go kart crash

— Niagara Falls Police have identified the 34-year-old man, killed in a weekend go-kart crash. Police say Mark Miles, of Niagara Falls, was killed Saturday.

Police say the crash happened on Buffalo Avenue just before 3:00 P.M. Saturday.

According to police, a Miles was driving a high performance go-kart on the roadway after having new equipment installed on it at a near-by auto shop. The go-kart was west bound and spun around into the east bound lane in front of a Chevrolet Volt (traveling east). The driver of the Volt was unable to avoid the go-kart and stuck him. The go-kart and its driver became stuck under the Volt.

The driver of the go-kart was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Volt is not being charged.
