Falling car stops I-95 traffic in Dunn
Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at mile marker 72 were briefly closed Thursday afternoon after a vehicle fell off a car transport truck.
Posted — UpdatedDUNN, N.C. — Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at mile marker 72 were briefly closed Thursday afternoon after a vehicle fell off a car transport truck.
A vehicle on top of the trailer hit the bridge over the highway at Springbranch Road, then side-swiped a passing SUV, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said. Another vehicle was hit by debris.
The bridge was damaged, but no injuries were reported.
The truck driver was cited for having an overheight vehicle, troopers said.
